Janet Yamada

Professor Yamada is a very caring and approachable. She makes the lecture clear and easy to understand. I was able to do well on the tests by focusing on her slides and attending her lectures. She always gives examples in class and does practice questions in class. I would love to have her again.

Great prof, if you attend lectures you don't need the textbook. She does review each week and has lots of practice questions. Tests are straight forward and easy. She knows what shes doing and will always answer any questions

can be boring at times but I enjoyed my experience with Janet for both of the research course. she does small reviews at the beginning of class for the previous week's topic which is always helpful and welcomed.

Professor Yamada is a very fair prof. Everything she tests is based on the slides and the material she covered in class. I was able to obtain A+ just solely focusing on her PowerPoints.

Dr. Yamada is extremely knowledgeable but speaks quickly and moves through content fast. Be sure to review the material before class to keep up. While her pace can be challenging, her expertise is clear, and you'll learn a lot if you stay prepared. Overall, I recommend her.

Janet is a great professor. If you go to her lectures, you'll understand the content easily and will be very prepared for the exams. I had her for 2 classes, and in both classes, I did very well.

Tests and evaluations are extremely fair. Although I was not a fan of the course material itself, the lectures were easy to follow and the testing questions were all fair game. Lectures can get a bit repetitive, but Dr. Yamada always clarifies if need be.

I found this prof very boring and unenthusiastic. Exams were fair, but so boring!

An angel of a prof. Amazing detailed PPTs. Lectures are concise. Tells you what you need for the exams. Does a review at the beginning of class of last week's class to keep things fresh. ALWAYS asks if students understand the content bc it can be tricky. Provides HELPFUL stories as she does her own research too. Always available for extra help.

Janet is Amazing. She loves hearing student's feedback and will take it seriously. Even though NSE 21 is a boring class, seriously, she tries to make it interesting. If you have any questions, definitely book an appointment with her, because Janet is willing to help you. Other than that, be careful with the assignment, because the TA marked it hard
