Natalie is the best prof I've ever had! I've had 3 classes with her and she's been amazing and engaging in all. She's VERY understanding and started a new grading option where you can choose which grade you want in the course (depending on how many assignments you are able to complete). She makes 3hr lectures feel short and is super sweet! <3
Natalie Alvarez is one of the most delightful people I have ever met. She cares more about her students than they deserve. One of the first teachers I have ever met who genuinely works to make the class interesting and relevant to her students. She is also super open to discussion about assignments and their structure. One of my favourite teachers.
Natalie is a fantastic teacher who understands the industry her class is meant to help prepare us for and is able to tailor the projects to suit that need. Her teaching style is very engaging and she is incredibly dedicated to helping students improve, giving personalized audio comments on major assignments.
Natalie Alvarez is an absolute gem. Everyone in the class loves her and we were all so excited to see her name on our schedules this year again. Her teaching style is engaging and interesting, and she doesnt waste time with meaningless nonsense assignments but truly does her best to structure the class in a way that is beneficial for her students.
The just right teaching style and assignments for this type of course. Slides are all posted online: she wants you to be engaged in the conversation and not worried about writing your notes in time before the next slide. No final exam, all assignments are truly useful and applicable for your future career. Passionate, considerate, and open minded
Oh you think Im done, Na Na Na Na(hey Jude). Im not even close to being done, this woman is so awesome it physically gets me out of the bed in the morning AND I DO NOT LIKE GETTING UP IN THE MORNING. Her class actually taught me something, not just the knowledge you get from a textbook, but rather an understanding of the material with depth.
What is there to say? She is just outstanding. Caring, passionate, and does what she can to accommodate for students in conservatory programs. He excitement on the material is infectious. Her assignments are practical, informative but most of all, fun. Throughout the semester it was evident the class was constantly engaged and excited to contribute
She was very enthusiastic about the course topic but read off of slides and rambled a ton. I ended up skipping the last few classes to work on other projects. Expects a lot of class participation but there's no midterm or exam. Big group project worth 30% of your mark if I remember correctly so choose wisely.
every time she tried to explain a concept, it felt like she was talking down on us bc we didnt know lmao; cool lady but idk i didnt really like the class
