If you want to really learn and prepare yourself for the corporate world Prof Viminitz is a phenomenal professor. He pushes students hard on assignments and presentations but provides great feedback. Not an easy class but cares about his students and wants you to learn. Put in the effort and you will get a lot out of his class.
He is nice but he's strict & his standards for his students are too high compared to the amount of teaching and explaining he does. Due to this, he tends to lower the whole classes GPA with his strict markings & trick test questions. PS, Ive had him twice and he always messes with my GPA even though the content is so easy & basic. I'd avoid him!
Super tough but it helps you see what the real corporate world is like, the presentations were roughh
Not a hard course overall, However, he grades you the way he likes to do it. Almost everyone i know got mid 70s for the group project and same attendance mark even if they attended fewer classes. He also releases the grades so late.
Great professor. The course itself is, in my opinion, dry and boring.
Overall, this guy is great – reasonable amount of content but the report has heavy requirements. Went to pretty much every lecture, but unless you're constantly taking notes on everything he says, it's tough to meet every single report requirement expected. In my opinion, some stuff just isn't laid out properly/thoroughly enough on the course page.
Mark is a knowledgeable guy. The course is pretty hard, you need to put in the work. He marks the group presentation and report rigorously, and the midterm and final were pretty difficult, but you can do well with lots of studying. Way too much content and memorization.
Quizzes come straight from the lectures and slides, so they were fair. My only complaint is that you can't pick your final project group, and it's A LOT of work (presentation + report with heavy requirements). He also marks hard as the class avg was in the low 70s. FYI - missing several classes results in deductions from your overall final grade!
10/10 again for Mark! You have 1 oral presentation, Mid, Final and one huge final report. All of them were super light except for the report. I really recommend starting early and pushing your lazy group mates! It was easy still, but good research is needed. I got a bad mark on that because of my super unbothered group. Only complaint. Love Mark!
He was an amazing prof and really wants us to learn the material. He is very open to helping out when you reach out, and participation is pretty important.
