These reviews are very harsh but Its really not that bad, but it is a lot of material to memorize. The multiple choice does have some bs questions but the short answers are generally pretty easy. The final is like 90% untested material, just skim the old stuff. The tutorial and quizzes are easy marks. Dont need the textbook.

Decent professor. Lectures were fast-paced, but if you're comfortable with material from years 1–3, it's manageable. He sometimes showed attitude when students asked OBVIOUS questions (reasonably so). The lectures went into more detail than what was tested, so exams felt easier by comparison. Overall, a fun and informative class.

the slides are empty so u have to attend all lectures. there are sooo many unnecessary slides with lots of images and graphs but u dont need to learn them. the short answer portions of the tests were super easy, didnt need any explanation, just bullet form. MC was a bit hard. overall he is knowledgable but doesnt teach that well.

Olson was ok. Slides provided no information, however it was expected to know everything. He gave no guidance on what to study, despite there being an overwhelming amount of info. Midterm 1 was difficult but his exam was easy. He also was quite rude on Piazza to students. Tutorials were a waste of time but a mark booster. I would avoid if possible

Very fair tests with lots of chances to improve your grade! Would recommend to anything considering the field of research!

This was the best course I've taken this term. Prof. OLSON was very knowledgeable and the material was very interesting. I'm not sure why so many neg. Reviews. The material was challenging, but that's to be expected. I'm sure med school will be a lot more challenging but this was an excellent primer. I'm so glad I took this course!!

In all honesty, he really ain't THAT bad! People make it seem like he's the worst prof this university has when he's actually great. He's extremely knowledgeable, answers questions during lecture, and has relatively fair assessments. People complaining that he's rude is because of his Piazza replies which were honestly hilarious. Would Recommend!

It was very tough but I was able to learn a lot from this course. Need to make sure you're on top of everything to do well!

Don't take this course, if u care about ur mental health. This course made this the worst semester I've ever had in my undergrad.

Midterm 1 covered NINE dense chapters. Midterm 2 covered a FIFTY-page scientific paper that had little to do with the course content. The final exam covers FIFTEEN dense chapters. I am not sure how anyone is doing well in this course....
