I don't know why the rating is so low. She marks the SPSS project very fair, which is a nice mark boost, plus the MyLabs. Yes, her accent is thick, but she's very understandable, and if you need help, just go to her office hours because she wants you to do well. I took both 110 and 210 with her and had no issues.
She is a very sweet person, but it is very hard to understand her when she is teaching since he has a heavy accent. I also noticed she made many calculation errors during her lectures, which not only confused the class but also took up a lot of time fixing her mistakes. She did give the class bonus marks for the second SPSS project though.
I had this prof for QMS 210 and I dropped her course within the first 30 minutes of her first lecture because not only of her thick accent, it is genuinely impossible to sit through her monotonous lecture style where she spends 15 minutes explaining one example solution and makes numerous mistakes while doing so. If you can go take another prof
She seems like a good person that wants her students to succeed but her accent makes it hard to follow along during lectures. She gives opportunities for bonus marks and exams are somewhat straightforward.
Accent Heavy didn't learn anything from her. I would not recommend her as a professor. TMU/The Chang School should fire her.
Lectures are confusing and hard to understand, the slides overcomplicated the already difficult material. The worst are the mylabs, which are 25 questions, but each part has like 18 parts which are also separate questions, so really its over 200 DUE PER WEEK. I was absolutely miserable in this class, doesn't help that she has a thick accent.
Horrible teacher, many my labs are wrong causing you to get a lower mark. Barely able to understand her and the exam makes no sense. If you want a good mark dont take her.
Took her again since I had her for QMS110, don't make the same mistake I did. I stopped attending classes because she was unorganized and didn't have clear explanations for the concepts she was teaching. Even if you think you can get past her accent, it's just hard to understand her as a prof in general.
She was a terrible prof all around. Even if you somehow manage to understand her past her accent, you wouldn't be able to understand her lectures because of how terribly she teaches. Be prepared to spend hours teaching yourself.
