She is very nice, but she is a tough marker on written assignments. However, she prepares you for the exam very well by telling you what is not on the exam.
Dr. Malta is extremely kind and caring! Her lectures are clear, weekly quizzes are easy, and her midterm and exam is EXTREMELY fair. The hardest part about this course is learning the EN/PN calculations + the EN case study and I wish there wasn't such a huge focus on it. If you did well in FNN301, 401 shouldn't be that much more difficult for you.
Pretty good experience! Of course this course is harder than FNN301 because it is more clinical base and quizzes are more comprehensive. The case study required a lot of details which must pay more attention to it, but just focus on EN. This course has a co-instructor which is really nice as well. Overall, good!
Daniela is a fair professor, her quizzes are very straightforward if you look at the lecture notes. However, she really needs to have clearer criteria for the position paper as the instruction is quite confusing to me a lot as well as the TA is a hard grader. Overall, Daniela is a good professor.
Dr Malta is so nice at explaining the hard nutrition concepts easier. She expects her students to read the textbook before the class and does not go into detail in the lectures. Instead, she explains the concepts with her personal experiences. The quizzes are easy if you go over the material beforehand. Good luck!
Not really clear at explaining slides. Tends to be all over the place.
This class was such a great learning experience because Dr. Malta made difficult clinical nutrition concepts easier to understand. Evaluations were tricky but fair, make sure to read the textbook. She's very reasonable and makes genuine connections with her students. I feel much more knowledgable in clinical dietetics after taking this course!
Dr. Malta always presented course content with enthusiasm and is helpful when answering questions. She puts extra effort to help you succeed in her class and uses her own clinical experience to make the course concepts more clear and understandable. Overall, she is a great professor and the course was a great learning experience!
Dr. Malta always made lectures interesting by sharing insight from own professional experience in dietetics. She was always willing to provide more help if students needed it and took students' concerns into account. The midterm and exam were a bit tricky as the wording of the questions sometimes threw students off. But overall, great course!
