Kelly Train

Dr. Train is a very no-nonsense person, but her class was really easy!! She is also a bit disorganized. She sometimes shows up to class 15 minutes late, she doesn't respond to emails on time, and she takes a while to grade assignments. That's just something she should work on, but it didn't actually affect me or my grades.

Always take her if u can. Discussion post (15%), essay (30%), essay proposal (10%), and than just a midterm and final. Asynchronous. Super easy marker and she cares about her students. Easy GPA booster and super easy bird course. Tests were not lockdown. I always try and get her classes.

I can understand why Prof. Train might not be for everyone, but she is genuinely a wonderful professor. Clearly very passionate and knowledgeable, if you do the readings, show up to as many lectures as possible and do the discussion posts you will be fine. She seems intimidating too but is genuinely very kind and understanding.

doesn't respond to emails, occasionally late to class by 20m-1h, and is never at her office during her office hours. those are the only drawbacks. her grading criteria are extremely thorough and easy to follow, and her feedback is unmatched by any prof i've ever had- super helpful. she knows her stuff. note that online participation is required.

Super chill class, perfect for an easy credit. 2 exams, but online, so no big deal. Just 1 essay, I got a 93% easily. She's intense but funny and overall easy to get good grades. Lays out what is required and how she grades. Barely did any readings also lol

She really knows her content and make sure to go to the lectures as all the content is from her speaking. You have to show up to get a good grade, the readings alone will not suffice. Amazing lectures and very engaging.

Kelly is an amazing professor who cares deeply about her students. She takes her time to grade but offers amazing feedback. Her class is relatively easy; however, her lectures are strictly her speaking, and she references a script. No slides, just talking. Many people use accommodations in this class. Other than that the course work is super easy.

Dr. Train, a seasoned lecturer with life experience to add to the discussion, provides very clear instructions on what she wants. Not her first rodeo, the syllabus is your key to success. While the reading/textbook is not mandatory, it does simplify or catch you up if you missed information during intense note taking sessions of her lectures.

she is late to class and i mean she's 20-30 minutes late to class. she is very blunt and doesn't really joke around. she is a bit late to grading stuff so be ready to wait for grades. the BIG marks were from the midterm, essay and final. the essay was very easily graded and the midterm and final were online. she doesn't post you you have to attend

Professor Train was an overall great professor. As long as you keep up with the weekly discussions and refer to her feedback when creating your essay you'll do great. Her lectures are useful and while she doesn't provide notes or slides I found that if you missed a class a lot of the material can be learned online.
