A fantastic prof. Went into the course hearing it was hard and was pleasantly surprised. Whissell genuinely tries to accommodate to everybody's needs and you can clearly tell that he is very passionate about what he is teaching. The course content is super interesting and Whissell does a great job of organizing and teaching it in an engaging way.
Really loved this prof, his lectures and his availability. Wish he was teaching CPSY202 this semester.
This prof was unorganized. The lecture slides were unnecessarily long and the breaks were so short. Very monotone, so it was hard to stay awake. The assignment had jargon which I have never learned or even heard of. I asked a question once and never did again, I didn't feel welcomed to ask questions. Exams are reasonable but still tricky.
One of the best profs I've ever had. Lectures were amazing and he was always there to help with anything. Take a class with him if you can!
Took this course online and it was 2 very straightforward easy assignments and 3 easy-ish tests. Modules were useless for tests, I relied solely on the textbook for those. The modules were helpful for assignments. It was an easy course, he marked well.
Here's the thing: if you write notes, read the chapters, and study hard you'll be fine. As for the teacher, he is personally the worst one I had all year. Really full of himself and tricky with his tests (which, by the way, there aren't many). I'll never understand how teachers think jumping from multiple topics to another is helpful.
Talks a lot about himself no wonder lectures took 3 hours. Long slides that are pretty much all over the place. I think he tries hard but fails
Not much graded so limited chances to boost your grade. Midterm was multiple choice, but they were almost all confusing and snaky.
Not much to be graded on, so study hard for what it given. Never had a teacher that overuses abbreviations and statistics as much as he does, even when it isn't necessary. Kind of very disorganized compared to my teacher for PSY102.
He makes the 3 hour lectures so much better. He's interesting, helpful, and actually seems to care about his students doing well in his class. The overall grade is made up of 3 super short online quizzes, an assignment, and 2 exams. It's really not too bad and I would definitely take one of his courses again
