He seems rude and barely helped his students when we were in need of help during a simulation. He speaks very sarcastically which confuses students.
Honestly, I barely understand this guy in terms of his character. Rob sounds a bit too sarcastic & somewhat condescending when he responds to questions in class. There's no denying that he's knowledgeable & experienced in project management but I find him rather unapproachable. I'm not too fond of him but he's an okay instructor, overall.
Super into himself. Doesnt fully explain things or elaborate when you have questions. Tells you to read the textbook to get a better explanation, even if you ask for further clarification after the fact. Its quite evident that he doesnt have a ton of teaching experience. Im there to learn not listen to how great you think you are.
Honestly, Rob is one of the best professors I've ever had. He makes class super interesting, is very funny and very relatable. He doesn't take things too seriously, which helps you a lot. He may come off as a little dry and full of himself, however when you get to know him, he's a sweet prof who is always willing to help and treat you like a friend
We recently completed a package rebrand for this Flexography Processes class. We had to follow strict specifications, conduct our own plate making and mounting, and ink mixing, then ultimately run an Inline flexographic press on our own. Rob could not have been more helpful. He guided us through from ideation to final run. The best! An expert prof!
Prof Rob isn't the worst. He may not have the time to go over the same concept again and again in his lectures/labs so I recommend using office hours. I was able to get clarification on some concepts I didn't understand. Fellow first years - this is university; quit whinging.
So into himself. Maybe a good operator but not a good teacher. Stay away!
This professor was amazing! Experienced and delivered the content in a manner that was easy to learn and useful. Thoroughly enjoyed this course!
GCMers beware. If you get him for GCM 121, good luck. I had Diana Varma before Rob took over during this semester because of her maternity leave. He will explain things quickly and it can be confusing. Prepare to do some research if you don't understand what to do even if he tries to help you. Take note that Rob plays country music during the lab:/
Very arrogant and not welcoming to questions at all! Probably a good press operator, not a great teacher though. Be prepared to do alternative research.
