the prof was cool, but the exams were very tough and she is a hard grader. Attendance is mandatory because of in class assignments. Make sure you actually focus on the slides.
Lectures were pretty much the slideshow being read, but they counted for participation marks. The class felt long. Recommend studying more for the tests, midterm was written and you were allowed a cheat sheet, but you definitely had to be very precise on what your answers were. Looking at other reviews seems like midterm was a low mark others too.
She's really nice and a good prof. The in-class discussions/activities really help to remember things better since you're engaged. Midterm/Final are rlly easy; you'll do good if you study, show up to class, pay attention, etc. Also it's even easier if you took psychology in high school (took it in gr11 and a lot of the course material was familiar)
To be very honest, the course was very boring to me. If you are taking her online I 100% recommend it, if you are taking her in person do not take her. She is a tough grader but if you study you can do very well. On my midterm I took it very lightly and did horrible, but in the final I studied and did surprisingly well.
The lectures are very interesting and informative.I suggest you study the textbook too just to be safe. She is an amazing professor that values participation in class and wants her students to succeed. She is very approachable and accommodating if needed.Make sure to do the readings ahead of time and pay attention to where she focuses on lectures.
The prof was REALLY nice and the lectures were very interesting. Exams are pretty easy if you have studied but shes a tough grader.
Be warned, if you have her online her testing format is 100% short answer based. She'll provide cases and expect detailed answers in order to score points. If the wording isn't correct, it's usually a zero. Her participation marks can cover some of her heavy grading, but be prepared to treat the textbook like the Bible if you want to get a 4.33.
People who didn't do well in this course just don't know how to answer short answer questions properly. Attend all her lectures and pay attention to what she focuses on because those are most likely the questions for the short answers. She practically gives you the format of how she wants questions answered if you pay attention.
Really nice professor, her lessons are engaging, even if the information is a little boring. Participation is required but the class is not difficult.
You need to purchase textbook for this course. Exams are tough and it worth a lot. Typical nice person but bad professor.
