His lecture slides are literally him going to random websites (Wikipedia) and articles and copy pasting everything on the slides. Not one original word. He even cited ChatGPT into his slides. In the lecture, all he'd do is read them and not much explaining. His tests were extremely easy, but you're going to have to learn everything on your own.
Riyad Hussein truly cares about his students. To make the most of his class, make sure to ask questions; he's very approachable. Also, for CCPS109, start doing the graded labs from early on. That way you can learn the new weekly material while meeting the deadline.
He's a little disorganized but a very caring person! He puts in a lot of effort to be available when you need help in the course and he gives part marks so as long as you know SOMETHING you'll get some marks out of it. As someone who was completely new to programming I could see he knew his stuff but his lessons could be hard to follow at times.
Great and very nice professor, I learned from his a lot. Answer emails in timely manner, very supportive.
Emailed him that I could not attend the first two lectures and I asked him what I missed and since hes leaching the material off another prof I asked him what will be different and he said nothing but he does everything different (i.e. two modules per lecture, midterm + exam, etc). Thick accent, hard to understand. Take with Professor Ilka instead!
The prof. just reads out the lecture notes during class and when students ask questions he just asks other students to help answer the question for him. He doesn't seem to know the class material very well. He spends most of the lecture time reading out zoom chat as he reads it very slowly. Attending his lectures is a waste of time.
Reads off lecture notes a lot. I get the sense that he's not prepared. Not very thorough compared to the original lecturer of this course. I found myself doing a lot of my learning through old recordings, googling, and youtube, since I didn't find the teacher super helpful. He's a nice guy and can be fun and laid back which is great, though.
He is one of the nicest professors I had. I like how he helps us during office hours. There were even times when he exceeded his office hour time just to help us and I appreciate that.
This professor will not 'teach' you, you are expected to teach yourself in this course. Reading or watching outside and provided materials will be better use of your time. On the other hand, you will not need to do alot in this course to succeed. Professor is hardworking and very nice person. You will be mainly evaluated by your work ethics.
