Ross Fair

I am an alumni now and I still feel like this professor truly traumatized me. Please don't take his class he's rough and has no empathy for anyone or anything but himself.

Prof. Fair seems like a decent guy tbh, he grades the tests and discussion posts well but his feedback for the essay project was didn't really make sene and seemed to be subjective to his opinion while the topic was more free for choice. His lectures were honestly hard to sit thru, the content was fine but his teaching is just very monotone/boring.

his lectures were boring and slides didnt have a lot of info which made attendance kinda important. hes a tough grader and gives little feedback, sometimes the content was interesting tho. if u dont go to class u wont do well on the midterm and final. the only good part was the final essay which we could write on anything we wanted.

Alright professor, lectures weren't the most engaging but content was interesting at times. Fairly slow grader, but gives good feedback.

Ross is a chill prof, but his research assignment was DRAINING. The fact that he is the only prof that teaches 505 is diabolical and torture. He is very sassy if you do not say the right thing in seminar. Collectively complained about but minus the research his classes were pretty fun.

He took a REALLY long time grading the research assignments, but overall pretty cool guy. Really monotone voice and I did not pay too much attention towards the end.

Dr. Fair is an amazing prof and is clearly passionate about what he teaches. Although somewhat of a tough grader, his feedback is constructive and very beneficial if you're studying history. HIS 105 with him has been my favourite course in uni so far, the content is so important and applicable to the world today. An amazing prof and course!

Dr.Fair is an alright professor. Overall he is fair with the marks that he gives out in his classes. His lectures are very content heavy and he is not the most engaging person. However I enjoy the class seminars that we do every few weeks. Make sure to start the research project early or he will give you a bad mark. Honestly id give him a 6.5/10.
