Naimul Khan is a decent prof. His lectures provide adequate examples, and he is able to cover concepts and answer questions, however, his exams are way harder than they should be. He claims his examples are enough for the exams, but i wouldn't agree. Expect to review concepts outside his lectures in order to pass comfortably.
Professor Khan is a good prof. He's very patient and does his best to answer all questions to ensure that all the students understand the material. The only problem with this professor is that his exams are a lot tougher than some would expect. Worst part is that it is on paper so having to find the output from code that is 2 pages long is painful.
Helpful prof, very patient, even answers questions by email. Course should be better organized, and those godawful movie theaters should be banned from lectures to take place, just awful
by far the best prof at Ryerson so far, the examples he goes through in class are great. Just wish the exams were not as hard
Sometimes goes too fast. But the examples he does in class are quite useful, exam questions are similar.
He seemed nervous but still far better than Yang. his lectures weren't that helpful, but that's cause of course organization. The best way to learn this course would be to practice Java on your computer. The exams were pretty easy even though I didn't study a lot, although a few questions were tricky. The labs were hard.
Exams are quite hard. But overall good prof, does lots of examples in class.
Had fun in the java class. Sometimes goes a little fast, but if you can keep up, you can learn a lot.
Teaches Java really well. Lots of examples. Posts all his notes, but explains much better in class, so recommend attending. Exams are hard though.
Dr. Khan describes programming concepts really well. Relates them to real-world problems, lots of examples. Exams are hard though. But if you want to learn, take Java with him.
