Dr. Khademi is by far the best professor I had. She's very understanding and always willing to help out her students when they need. The exams were very fair in terms of content and grading. Dr. K is a very enthusiastic and positive professor which is what made her class very enjoyable for me. I couldn't reccomend Dr. K or the class more.
Clear explanations and fair grading. Lectures are well-structured and easy to follow. Willing to help students when needed. Solid professor.
Course is great, explanations are great, labs are great. The prof seems like a great person. But why would you whisper and giggle with your TA during the midterm?... It was annoying.
Dr Khademi cares about her students and the information she teaches. She is clearly an expert in the field. She goes through the fundamentals of image processing and breaks things down in an easy-to-follow way. Each lecture follows a simpler pattern first we do theory (with real-world applications) then we work through math problems as a class.
CLUELESS & OVERCOMPLICATES eg. Would Spatial nyquist limit be a minimum 2x2 pixel square that covers the smallest 2D signal feature? She replied it requires analysis in the freq domain. There is no reason to obfuscate and convert back and forth from frequency domain just to see that minimum signal feature is sampled at least twice along each axis.
This was a well taught introduction to signals and systems. Dr. Khademi cared about the concepts she was teaching and emphasized their practical uses. Dr. Khademi provided many examples to help explain difficult mathematical concepts and was always willing to answer questions in and out of class.
Dr. Khademi is intelligent and approachable, and she focused on teaching us the real-world applications of the concepts we were learning. The labs were interesting and a realistic reflection of research in the field of biomedical imaging as we used real medical data including brain MRIs, lung CTs, and retinal scans. My favourite 4th year course.
This was my first image processing course and favourite 4th year course. I appreciated how practical and engaging the course was because Dr. Khademi focused on real-world applications rather than just theory. The labs were especially helpful because they used real medical data and gave a clear sense of purpose behind what we were learning.
