I took this a while back. He was not on time for a single lecture. He might be a good reseacher but not a good teacher.
The instructor provides comprehensive and detailed lectures and well-designed assignments to improve your learning experience in a challenging way. His enthusiasm in teaching is remarkable and care about delivery of the materials.
He is a considerate and caring professor. His knowledge is updated and helpful for future career. His teaching approach is a bit sophisticated and hard to learn. But a fair grader.
CV8409 comprehensive course/the first half of the course followed a fixed syllabus. The second was flexible and addressed different existing transportation problems and their solutions and more like a debate. You get to know Toronto transport system that would be beneficial for future career. flexible marking: project and take home final exam.
I really love the clear split of grades categorization. It was well structured and well oriented course. Bilal has put serious effort to make research concepts easy at the student level.
If you care about the topic this is actually a very interesting course to take with him. He covers a lot of useful fundamentals that you would need to go further in this area. The assignments are intuitive and the difficulty of Midterm and Final balance out nicely. The final debate project is my favorite part of the course.
It does not matter, how much effort we put into it. The final grade is bell-curved. So, we might end up getting a lower grade than what we actually performed during the course.
He is professional, he explains every detail. Attendance helps you understand everything, he is fair in grading and his exams are also fair.. he wants you to learn and be analytical.. he is nice and respectful.. he is one of the best professors I had..
Great professor who has vast knowledge of his field and the practical world. He teaches concepts in depth and is willing to repeat them to satisfy the student. The course content can be overwhelming at times but learning effort from the student and Dr. Farooqs teaching easily overcomes that. Labs are doable and exams test your understanding.
