Ashley Lewis

I have no clue why she gets so much hate. She's caring, kind, and understanding if you actually communicate with her. Although attendance was mandatory, this was actually one of my favorite classes this semester. Ashley makes lectures interesting, and her assignments were super fun! Would definitely take another class with her :)

loved this class and prof so much that it didnt even matter attendance was mandatory. ashley is awesome. gives thoughtful feedback and is very kind and understanding. i cant really fathom why her review here is pretty low. you'll get out of the class what you put into it !

I don't like her at all, i'm pretty sure she didn't like me either. She completely would disregard anything I said in class. I have no idea what I did for her to act this way towards me. Very passive aggressive. I hated going to her class. I always felt either attacked or ignored.

I think her past reviews are largely based on the disorganization and quality of those courses themselves, rather than Ashley herself. This course is definitely her expertise, and she incites pretty interesting lectures and class activities. Since this course is pretty discourse based, you can also tell she truly respects students' opinions.

One of the best experiences with professors. Amazing introduction to university life and super interesting. Didn't notice favoritism as long as you work and explain how you work.

So many small assignments, but everything is pass/fail so you will be alright if you complete everything. 90% of the classes are just presentations and class discussions which is annoying because class is mandatory. The assignment descriptions are very vague and difficult to understand, so you should ask her for clarification after class.

Personally, I think she is nice. I found her classes the easiest for me and that I really enjoy her style of teaching. I just wish she wouldn't pick on me as often to answer since I am not very of an outspoken person.

Every time I realize I have this class first thing on a Monday morning, I don't think I have ever wanted to fake being sick more than in this moment. She makes attendance mandatory and apart of our final grade. All the work she gives us is very tedious busy work. She tends to play favorites and use passive aggressive rhetoric. Drop her class now.

Class was useless 95% of the time, assignments were super unclear and doesnt help you at all with your curriculum, played favourites with students and was rude to some. Made attendance mandatory cause she knows no one would show up

Every class taught by Ashley comes off as completely unplanned and wasteful busywork. She makes her attendance mandatory but keeps labs to a fifth-grade level discussion. The content of the course is genuinely interesting, but because of the way she teaches, this class is the most empty and dreaded one for more than 70% of her students.
