Not a good lecturer at all. Does not make concepts easy to understand.
This guy is the GOAT! Literally the easiest professor you can ask for.
He doesn't teach a lot, he had to cancel classes quite often. He's very specific about assignment criteria and will deduct marks if it's not up to his standards. He also does give opportunities for extra credit. Outside of class, he's a kind prof who just wants the best for his students.
LAZY professor. He doesnt teach. He uploads slides and thats it. He makes excuses for why and loves to lecture everyone in class with long emails on what we're doing wrong, rather than adjust and offer better resources like video lectures. He hosts Zoom chats where he doesnt teach and goes on tangents about students being wrong & work ethic. LAZY!
AWFUL. He should know how to explain.
Upal was overall an amazing prof if you compare him with the other ones. He understood the students and did anything in his power to help us in receiving a great mark. The case studies were marked easily and the excel quizzes were good (study the practice quizzes given). the midterm and final was hard bcs he was not the one that wrote it.
Looks as though hereads these reviews and uses them to improve his teaching, out of all the ITM102 profs he is definitely the best! Lectures are fairly interesting, but not mandatory, he is a fair marker, even gives opportunities for extra marks. Shows that he cares for the students and generally gives off good vibes.
He is a very reasonable marker. Attendance in lectures is not mandatory, but going to labs is. Breakdown of exams is given weeks in advance and structures are always similar and straightforward. Definitely recommend this prof to anyone taking any ITM courses, especially ITM305 and ITM500.
