Morteza Zihayat Kermani

Morteza is a lovely, caring, and genuine prof. You can tell he cares about what he's teaching just by how he speaks. The content of the course is easy to understand if you attend lectures. The exams and projects are also very fair if you are willing to put in the effort. Overall, a 10/10 person. I look forward to taking classes with him again.

Excellent Professor!! I took both 760 and 740 with him. Final group project is tough since you need to code in Python. His midterm and final exams are tough but they are fair if you studied well using his slides. Definitely one of the more difficult upper level classes in BTM but you will learn a ton about AI and machine learning.

Avoid this prof. Marks the projects super hard. Tests are super hard as they are trying to trick you. Overall a bad experience with this class. The prof appears nice as a person but as a teacher I would avoid him.

Avoid him at all costs, he is not a good prof both in-terms of teaching, testing, and marking. None of the slide materials relate back to the tests and the labs have zero correlation to the slides.

This rating is for ITM740. this professor is a classic example of a smart & passionate person who is unable to deliver the material in an understanding manner. He also intentionally screws you over on the exams with trick questions that have minimal correlation to the course content. In regards to bird/easy ITM electives, stay away from Morteza!!!!

Took this course, and 618 with him, and he was awesome for both. He is really good at engaging students, and explaining complicated concepts. Plus he always ensures that we understand. His tests and assignment are fair, although the final course projects are challenging. Very accommodating during the pandemic too. Overall would highly recommend

Morteza is amazing! Please take him if you have the opportunity too, especially compared to other profs. He really loves what he teaches and the midterm and exam are all based on his ppt (which he posts) and textbook. The case study assignments (really easy) and the kahoot is for bonus marks. I really enjoyed his class!! Easy A just study well.
