She makes the class harder then it is for no reason and expects us to just know everything. Isn't school for LEARNING. (Really hoping she looks at this app)
She knows what she is doing, and she is respected in the fashion industry, but she treats her students as if they are unintelligent. She is a very tough marker, and she will nitpick the smallest details to make you seem wrong. She is not easy-going, and she will not give you a lot of grace for being late.
Lots of information she mention about in class, talk so fast and read the ppt.
An absolutely horrible prof. I knew every single one of my classmates names because all of us banded together on our hatred for this prof. Spends the entire semester buffing her own ego and then gives advice that completely ruined their final dresses when their initial gut feelings had been correct. Avoid at all costs!
Tarah was not the easiest grader but I actually respected that about her. She really pushed me to do better and she gives marks where she sees more development. She grades the group progress sessions which can be intimidating at first but honestly very helpful to get feedback from her and other classmates. A prof that wants you to grow!
The worst kind of teacher to have for a first year student. Makes fun of students for asking questions, talks too fast and doesn't like to share her content online. Seems to be at her happiest when students are stressed. Big ego.
Tarah is exactly the kind of prof you want in a fashion program. Exceptionally knowledgeable, talented, a strong educator, and a maternal figure when she needs to be. Yes, she has high expectations, but if you show up and do the work you will learn multitudes under her.
I feel like Tarah improved my drafting skills a lot just she gets aggressive whenever you ask questions and she intimidates everyone. Personally, I wouldn't take her class again. She never encourages anyone to actually do better. She made me cry a lot and she was actually not there to help. She probably didn't care.
Tarah is not as bad nor amazing as the other reviews make her out to be. She speaks in a monotone way that makes her lecture/slides classes boring. She can also be passive aggressive when you ask her questions/etc. However, you can tell that she cares that you become an educated and informed person on the topics in class as she will try to help.
Besides the horrible and confusing content of the course itself, Tarah was an ok prof. She basically just read from the slideshow for her lectures and was very mono tone. The workload and group assignments in this course were painful and I found Tarah to be slightly agressive when answering questions we had about assignments.
