Lloyd Alter

Lloyd is a chill professor who is genuinely passionate about what he teaches. He is not looking to give his students a hard time whatsoever and makes an effort to accommodate them. The assignments for his class are also quite fun to do and not a burden to complete. Would recommend!

Honestly prof. Alter might be the most enthusiastic professor I've ever had. You can tell he genuinely cares and believes in what he's teaching and he really wants his students to learn from it. A lot of the concepts he teaches are very interesting and as someone who isn't that interested in design, I loved hearing him talk about it.

Best prof I've had thus far. I really learned a lot in this course about important issues. He is extremely knowledgeable & passionate. The material sticks with you (took it Winter 2022) & I still take what I learned and apply it to aspects of life/throughout university). Super kind, understanding, & accommodating prof as well. A gem.

Lloyd is definitely one of the most caring and knowledgeable profs I've ever had, he cares a lot more about the quality of your work than meeting exact deadlines and is willing to help all the way through.

He is a such a great professor. He is passionate about his work and about the environment. His class is very open to different opinions and he is very friendly. Most assignments was just a presentation and a book report but he makes sure you are getting the knowledge you need. Very approachable.

Prof Alter's lectures were extremely interesting and organized. He tends to engagethe class in a fun way and has realistic expectations. Truly an incredible prof.
