Professor is disrespectful, unresponsive, and drags out class time by talking about nothing. He is extremely disorganized, comes up with his mandatory "quiz" questions on the spot, and never provides a clear grading criteria for anything. That being said, you will do well in the course if you show up weekly and do the required quizzes + case q's.
Guy knows his stuff and is very direct. If you show up and do the quizzes, you'll do well. Dogan is a G.
This is for REM 800. I honestly have no words. I am so shocked by how disrespectful this professor is. Class is built around in-class quizzes that you have to submit to the TA for credit. Don't accidentally send it to him because he will degrade you for your mistake. The course itself is really easy; just put minimal effort, and you will pass.
This is for REM 800, but there isn't an option to review him for this course. First time taking his class and I was nervous because of these reviews. He was literally the opposite, maybe because REM 800's structure was more straightforward but I had a positive experience with him. He genuinely cares about your future and offers great advice.
He's the worst teacher I have had at Ryerson. I dropped the course because of him not because the course was hard whatsoever. He's just awful. Plus his D2L is so unorganized and he is so stuck in his ways. He does not care about students. Omg don't do this to yourself people. Do not take him.
Worst Prof I've ever taken. He literally talks about random stuff which has no relation with the course. His midterm exam was very vague and had nothing to do with Real Estate. He marks the midterms very hard as well. His D2L is very unorganized and it's so hard to find materials that he posts.
Professor Tirtiroglu is phenomenal, the course material he provides is relatable and interesting. He integrates youtube videos and other digital media to teach the lessons from the textbook. The course is not heavy on the content as there is a weekly assignment that is done in groups. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone!
Rude and hostile for no reason. Unorganized in all aspects. Lectures often jump from topic to topic without any rhyme or reason, without following a linear structure. He will find a way to talk anything despite not being a part of the course at all. His D2L files are a mess, good luck organizing all the downloadable course materials.
Dogan truly cares about students succeeding in the real world as he makes a point to provide you with information that will benefit students. He is for sure a tough marker, and expects you to read the documents he posts. I've taken him twice now and his lectures can be quite interesting if you pay attention, but you will not be spoon fed info.
Please DO NOT TAKE THIS PROF!! He is the worse, prof. In class; He will only focus 1/3 of class material, and then he will talk about his personal experience, which has no relation to the course. His announcements are confusing. PLZ AVOID HIM; OTHERWISE, HE WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE MISERABLE.
