Doosoo is a decent professor. The course itself is quite challenging and content heavy. There's weekly homework (not graded), along with weekly quizzes (graded) that many students found difficult. On the other hand, weekly lab assignments are easy marks. Exams are tough but graded fairly, and he adjusts weights to help your final grade.
Super caring, and tries his best to make the course interesting. Will speak a bit softly, so if you want to do well you should sit in the front rows. Urges his class to ask questions due to course content. He genuinely cares about his students and is very lenient with marking and lectures. Also gave coffee candy mid lecture once lol
Such a caring professor! Lectures can be boring but make sure you attend them and do all the homework provided, it'll help in the long run.
One of the most caring profs I've ever had and probably the best economics professors I've ever had. He's so kind and compassionate and actually cares about his students learning the material. Hell, he even gave coffee candies when they got tired during class. Go to class, give effort and you'll do well. The finals and MT are all based off slides.
He's not good at lecturing and explaining the concepts, he skips most of the steps which makes the lectures so hard to understand. His midterms and quizzes are easy but the final is extremely hard, it's barely related to the concepts or examples he mentions in class.
The course and the professor are both great! Make sure you study though, there is no space for you to fall behind in econometrics. You truly gain a new perspective, and a useful and marketable skill in this class.
Exams are extremely hard and he is not a considerate person
Great course and great professor. The course is very demanding so beware, but it sets you up with great tools and skills that are genuinely marketable and useful.
Dr. Doosoo is a very kind and understanding person outside the class, but he's not a good lecturer. Too much logic and explanation and not enough application and examples. He also tends to skip over the steps whenever he does do an example which is not helpful when you're trying to grasp a new concept.
I dont recommend taking any course with him. I took with him two courses this semester. Hes a very bad teacher and his exams are extremely hard. I had a very bad time with him.
