Alexey Rubtsov

Dr Alexey cares about his students, goes to office hours, and can help really well if you go to the hours. some students may not like his teaching style as he just reads off his lecture slides.

He needs to do more examples in class. He's very good at explaining the material, but so many students do badly on the exams because we know the concept very well, but we don't know how to solve more difficult problems. Despite that, he makes very fair assessments and is lenient with grading. Note: DO NOT take this class if you don't know Python.

So statistics in itself is not a hard course, but can get annoying when coupled with the other courses in the winter semester. However, his midterm and exam were both very similar to previous tests which made studying easy and smooth overall a great guy

Great prof! Super useful lectures, and great at communicating material and methods. He has to be one of the best math profs.

If you have this course online with this prof you are lucky. And if you have this course in person you are also lucky but you should study hard and you should study past tests and midterms and you should be ok!

Do all his sample and recommended problems, you should pass with a high grade easily. Content is very easy and intuitive. God bless this man, his exams are fair and ezpz. Lectures & slides were great, concise and straight to the point. Make sure to ask a lof of questions as he is very helpful in/outside of class.

His exams are pretty straight forward and his lectures are great, attend his lectures if you want to do well.

Very helpful, if there is something not clear he answers in the most helpful way. Fair exams, clear explanations. I have never seen faster responses from anyone. Why he cannot teach every math course? Enough said.
