Wendy Burton

Honestly one of the worst professors i have ever taken, she was such a tough grader and was always unreasonable with his marks. I worked so hard and provided her with everything she asked for yet she still gave me a 57 and didn't explain much. DO NOT TAKE HER, save your self and your GPA

She's a very sweet and accommodating prof who is clearly very knowledgeable in her field. However, her lectures are extremely boring even though the content of the course is interesting. I could only go to 3. She's strict about guidelines so read the instructions carefully. I don't think she's a tough marker, but you'll have to put in effort.

Course is PPA122. Great and necessary, especially if you're going into policy, social work, business or real estate. Dr. Burton's lectures are long but full of good info. Attendance is not mandatory since there are other ways to submit your participation. Each student will have to present a case study so be prepared.

Burton is a sweet and a great person, but I wouldn't choose to take her classes again because her lectures are very dry and she only reads off the slides. Her assignments were manageable, there were clear templates and criterias provided. She's also good at returning emails and always available to provide help. No tests, lots of readings.

Dr. Burton's lectures can be dry, I wish she spiced it up more. Nonetheless, her assignments were manageable, grading criteria is clear and she gives good feedback. She's always there if you need help and she was very accommodating this semester with the transition back to in-person learning.

The class wasnt necessarily difficult, but Im the kind of person that needs an engaging prof. Lectures are the most boring Ive ever experienced to the point where only about 12 people showed up for them end of semester. If she made the content more interesting, like giving real life examples or some emotion would have made it way more enjoyable

Please do not believe the negative reviews. This class was very easy and as long as you give some level of effort, you will do well. The class average was around 75-80%, and she gave me 95%. She is quite a fair marker and as long as you follow the assignment instructions you will do well. The assignments are also very easy.

Her lectures are optional so I didn't go to many of them. There is a lot of content on the slides but the workload is not too heavy and I found Dr. Burton to be a reasonable person. The course is a little dry so try not to procrastinate on the assignments - get them out of the way early!

I went to one lecture, never went to another. They are 3 hours long and have no emotion or engagement. The assignments are tedious, start them as soon as they're given or you will run out of time. She also deducts marks for the smallest issues... Avoid if you can.

Wendy makes her lectures so boring however the course is pretty easy. I never went to any of her lectures or tutorials after day one and am doing extremely well in her class. Do the assignments and don't procrastinate or else you'll never get them done in time.
