Ardavan is a great professor. He really cares about his students and ensures that all his students understand his content.
The class I took was called "Introduction do Decolonization to Education", but the Prof has very little understanding of decolonization or the struggles of the Indigenous communities. The course does not include Indigenous voices, and it was more to do with anti-racism and anti-oppression. This course did more harm than good for decolonization
When my father became ill and was put in the ICU Professor Ardavan was so understanding, compassionate and thoughtful. He was dedicated to making sure I was alright, and had everything I needed. He went above and beyond his role as an educator and is by far the BEST professor at Ryerson. He truly wants the best for his students and that's evident.
Ardavan is a great prof! He's a chill and funny person and he's not a tough marker. Midterm and final were both based on lecture slides and readings, and because he mentions key points that will be on the exams during class, they aren't too difficult to study for. Would recommend!
Ardavan is a funny prof and probably my fave in the ecs program. He tests you on what is on the ppt slides/articles and gives hints about what you should know. BIG UP to him!!!!
Ardavan is a hilarious! He has a great personality and cares for his students. I will miss him :(
Awesome prof. Very funny and makes class engaging to listen . Very understanding and good marker.
He jokes around a lot which was fine at first until I heard him "jokingly" insult my friend when she asked him a question regarding clarification on a concept. The class is called Policy in ECEC but he doesn't know much about ECE and mentions a lot of things that are false and/or inaccurate which is frustrating. His test Qs can be deceiving too.
He is a really nice and funny professor. His classes are not too stressful, he tries to make jokes throughout his lectures. He is pretty lecture heavy but I think that's normal for his courses. Overall, he is very understanding and replies quickly to emails.
Honestly such a great prof. He's knowledgable and young so he is easy to relate to. He's such a funny guy and honestly so funny, understanding and caring! He uses real life experiences, especially his own to clearly explain content. Definitely will take more classes with him!
