She's a good prof. She will give you a lot of information and a lot of content. She's demanding it which is okay. As long as you like accounting, it won't be a problem. But she will also make your life hard for no reason. Her MC answers and assignments are too vague. Tbh tho, she is one of the better teachers at Ryerson.

Her incompetence shows when she often forget the definition of accounting concepts and have to look it up during the lectures. Her email responses addresses the bare minimum of my concerns and I always have to follow up for clarification. There's also a constant undercurrent of passive aggressiveness which she doesn't fail to bring every class.

Like many of the previous comments, get a tutor to help you go over the course content. Her grading criteria is also not very clear so make sure to clarify anything you have questions about otherwise, you will get a much lower grade than you expected.

For a student, who knows zero about accounting, there is a steep learning curve. However, the professor is super helpful and goes out of her way to help you. If you put 100% effort, she puts 200%. She is also very flexible and caring. You know she cares when she responds to emails even on Sunday evening in less than an hour. One of the best Prof!!

All she does is read off from slides, and yet she still fails to go through the whole chapter. If you're taking her course, get a tutor. You won't be able to teach this course to yourself, and the prof won't be that helpful either. Wouldn't recommend.

Romi is the worst prof in the whole Accounting department. She takes her time with posting grades. She reads directly from the slides. If youre going to be take Accounting with her you need to go for extra tutoring cause its not a course you can self-teach or learn from content. Best advice dont take her.

Romi is a very nice lady, if you ask her how you can improve she will tell you! However, her teaching methods arent the best. Shed teach a lecture, and then the homework would be completely different once you realize, she didnt teach you the rest of the chapter! The course is already tough enough, wouldve been nice to have more guidance in it.

Really made the course interesting given how hard it is and I did not feel like I was disadvantaged studying online. Always available by email and office hours for extra help. Lectures are clear and really helped me understand the topics.

Will help you with homework like a tutor. I don't think people realized this but I would send screenshots of my homework and get help and this really prepared me for the midterm (which was brutal). Met with her for office hours every week on zoom and it made a huge difference to my grade.

The people below me are honestly just salty that they probably failed or didn't get the mark they wanted. Romi is such a great professor and very approachable. Her office hours is what makes her special in my opinion as she really wants all of us to do well in accounting because it is not an easy subject.
