Enjoyed the course up until the Covid 19 outbreak, which brought it to an abrupt halt. Dr Gabay takes time to explain the main concepts of the course. If you don't attend, don't expect to do well. Lots of free marks. Don't understand the negative reviews, must be from individuals who believe soc courses are bird courses.

There is so much information in this class and lectures are pretty much read off the slides. The textbook is necessary for everything, She is a tough grader. Although the midterm and exam are multiple choice, that makes it even harder. There is so much information and it is all theoretical which makes it even more difficult. Not a bird course.

Dr. Gabay is very friendly and approachable. She makes 3 hour lectures fly by with in-class discussions and video clips to help us better our understanding of material. One flaw would be her constant use of the word um and stuttering as though she is nervous. Makes some things a little confusing at times when she cant project her words properly.

Wonderful class and wonderful professor! She is a great lecturer and makes every lecture enjoyable. This was an eye-opening course and I have been applying the material daily since! Everyone should take this course. The tests were tricky but if you study from the textbook you'll do well. The paper was fair as well, and actually enjoyable to do.

A really great prof overall, her readings are helpful and she appreciates anyone who participates. Blunt and attentive. A bit of a tough marker and her tests are so-so, but I would take her again.

Such a great professor. She gives time for everything and explains everything to the bets of her ability. She really gets the class motivated to come to class and participate. She responds so fast to emails - at least for me. There are just no words. Definitely one of the best professors I've ever had. Would definitely take her class again for fun!

One of the best professors I've had by far. After the midterm she even asked for feedback and she took in what everyone was saying. So kind and caring, she takes the time to get to everyone and explain as much as she can especially with the 1/2 hour split class times, she handled it so well. She makes me want to learn and come to class. Brilliant!

Great professor, she definitely knows her stuff! I liked that she used real experiences from her life (which is hard because of the topic of race can get pretty ugly). She does lecture heavy and expects you to participate in class. I was getting an A until I took her final exam which left me with a grade of C-.
