her lectures were repetitive at times.. her marking was very hard for no reason LOL do not take a class with her if you care about your GPA
Respectful and respected individual. Her lectures engage students in the content as she brings course material and lived experiences together to cohesively explain the content. Don't think this is a bird course, because it's not. You have to put in effort but her methods of assessment are fair and give opportunity for improvement!
She is a great professor and her lectures are really interesting as she combines both pop culture and the course material. She is a tough grader but gives you really good feedback on how to improve for the next assignment. She's always available to answer questions and even go over sections of your work, which is really great!
Professor Tammy is the best prof I have ever had. She is kind and actually cares about her students. Her assignments are fair and her grading is fair. I'm not even a good writer, but I would talk to her about ideas about the paper and she would give good feedback. Just go to class, do the reading and you are guaranteed a good mark. Take her class!!
She's pretty invested in her students' success and is almost always available outside of class. There are 3 papers each worth 20%, pretty easy to do well on them if you take some time to understand what she's asking for, for each one. You don't need to go to class to do well, but be aware that she takes forever to give marks back.
She's nice and explains the material very well, however the assignments are marked pretty hard and the readings are quite long. Interesting course though.
Really passionate about teaching popular culture and has great presentations. Tests are ok but assignments are marked fairly hard.
By FAR my all-time favourite professor I ever had. She truly cares about her students, knows most by first name and is super engaging with both the material and experiences. Usually I don't take the time out to rate profs but she deserves it! Loved both courses, hope I get here again soon.
Tammy is amazing as a Prof and person. She made what could have been a boring class into an engaging one, and sparks an interest. She genuinely cares about her students, and wants you to do well- go to her office hours and you'll gain from it. Lectures can feel a bit long, but she cuts them short if possible and is respectful of your time.
Dr. George is accessible outside of class and encourages students to come speak with her both about class material and their academic contemplations in general. She is a kind, respectful professor who sees her students as her peers; she is extremely open to new perspectives and makes assignments that allow students to showcase their individuality.
