She seems like a nice person and knows the material. Unfortunately, she is not good at teaching. I actually had her five years ago for this class (Fall 2017) and it seems like she really hasn't improved. Teaching law is not easy, since lawyers have to do it after work, but at the same time students deserve better.
Unapproachable, difficult to contact, and condescending.
Wrost lecture experience ever. Don't expect ppt slides will be use during the class. No exam prep. No class notes will be upload.
Prof Meader was tough but I learned so much. Wish I could take her class again.
Very knowlegeable but cannot teach in a way that will allow students with 0 experience with planning law to learn. Exams make up 90% of the overall course mark. Also inaccessible, her way of teaching is to scroll through the planning act and read. If you're not an auditory learner or cannot process information as fast, good luck.
Be ready to take notes! Jennifer doesn't have power point slides, so really pay attention. Tests and exams were fair. Assignments are straight forward. Also a fair marker.. at best. Overall, not very good at teaching and highly unapproachable.. comes off intimidating.
Horrible professor. All she does is rambles and reads the planning act word for word. Be prepared to write everything she says because she does not have a powerpoint. Not the most welcoming professor either. Do not recommend.
Jennifer is very knowledgeable, yet should understand this is our first exposure to planning law. She claimed this was a hard class, yet made no effort to make her lectures more accessible like having slides. Her "lectures" at best is just her read off of documents too quickly and expecting you to know the content. Overall, a poor experience.
This course was a huge stressor during the pandemic school term. Her course did not contain slides and her lectures were not posted online for students. It was incredibly difficult to focus in her class as she only scrolled through legal texts and drew various drawings. While she is knowledable in her field, it was very hard to learn in her class.
