I had Stephanie again in my 2nd year for CRIM 2618, CRIM 2619, SOCI 2220, & SOCI 2610. This year I found that her tests were a bit easier but they're still heavily dependent on the readings which you'll have like 40+ pages a week. She's definitely good at using online resources to make a fun class but her lectures are pretty boring & word-for-word.
I took her for my Criminology course at Trent and I was struggling mentally for a lot of months. She was very easy to communicate with when it came to me not being able to finish my assignments on time, etc. I can tell she truly cares about the well-being of her students. Really amazing human being.
I took CRIM 2615H at Trent Online. Honestly Dr. Ehret sets up an easy to use and interesting online course. As many know they can be very material heavy to make up for the fact that you're not in class. Her midterms were intense though as they would be word for word answers from one sentence in a 30 pg. report. Not fun!
I took her online crim course at Trent University, and Prof Ehret was extremely kind and quickly responded to emails. However, she seemed to just read off the slides in her lectures and organized the presentation of the course material in an overly confusing way. Her midterm was harder than expected, but she did give us a 2nd chance to write it.
Had at Trent University but professor that truly cares about the wellbeing of her students and is very approachable! Absolutely enjoyed the class and would definitely take a class with her again if given the opportunity to. Keep up the good work prof!
You will not regret having her as your professor. Lectures are so detailed you don't even need the textbook. There's a lot to do for this course, but it's easy to manage. She encourages creative papers or different styles of assignments if you don't want to write essays which is a nice perk. Overall an easy marker and a sweetheart!
Stephanie is amazing! If you ever need extra help, she will gladly help you either through email or zoom. The course does have quite a bit to do, but it is VERY manageable. 3 short quizzes (10 multiple choice) that is open book and based on readings, 4 discussions (easy and interesting to write), 2 assignments and 1 take home final. Easy marker.
She had two weekly zoom options, also uploaded recorded lectures & slides. Theres alot of coursework 2 assignments, 3 quizzes, 4 mandatory participation discussions, and 1 takehome final exam. She's a hard marker and seems to only mark well when you heavily cite her content course content. Assignment instructions are VERY confusing & not clear
So humble, puts a lot of work and effort in the powerpoints every week, tries really hard to connect with the class. Extremely reasonable when it comes to grading and marking midterms and exams An extremely genuine prof who has a passion for her field. Would love to work under her if I could
Prof Ehret is quite knowledgeable about her content and is a very nice person. However, she copies the slides from the textbook and reads off the slides, does not contribute much in lecture. She is also very boring in lecture. She is a hard marker on tests and especially papers, so make sure you go to her office hours for extra clarity.
