If you are taking this course as an upper liberal, DO NOT take it. The quizzes are so hard and he is a tough grader. The course itself is somewhat interesting but the grading will make you hate it. All in all, it is not a bird course.
First time I write feedback on rate my prof, and this is for prof.ERIC! He is a really good prof, I could say he's better than most of UOFT econ profs. I have him for my summer econ course. I wish he can teach the fall and winter semesters at UofT in the future. Once again, he is an easy exam marker and teaches the content extremely well!
Consider yourself lucky if he is your teacher, not only does he know the content very well, he cares for the students. Very good professor.
Had him for first year macroeconomics at UofT in the summer and I gotta say he's a gem. We got tutorials and writing assignments that really made up for a difficult midterm. And not to mention, fair marking overall, highly recommend him. I hope I can take another class with him some time in the future.
Took this in the fall, he was really nice and posted lecture videos instead of having zoom meetings to accommodate international students. The midterm and final exam were very easy and he is a very fair marker. Wish he could teach more economics courses he is the best!
Graded by very few things: a research assignment, MC midterm, and MC exam. Hence, everything is weighted heavily. Research assignment asks for a lot of things but in very few words (<1000 words). Exam doesn't allow changing answers, resulting to a fairly low class average. The assessments poorly evaluated our understanding of the subject.
Eric Chi is one of the best Profs I have had at Ryerson. This is a difficult course but professor Chi explains all concepts clearly and efficitvely in every lecture. Always available outside of class for homework help during office hours.
Man forgot to upload the exam LMAO
Amazing instructor, very fair marker and tells you exactly what you need to know for the midterm and final exam. He really gets the class involved with discussion which better helps to understand/retain the material. Going to class is necessary since he does the lecture notes in class and doesn't post them.
Eric Chi is a great and caring prof. Tests are fair and based off of quizzes done in class and homework questions (which he posts online so no textbook required). His lectures were very informative and well planned. This course isnt easy but if you attend lectures and office hours you should get a good mark.
