Worst professor I have ever had in my entire life. If you have him as a professor, just drop out and run away... He is the least reasonable professor I've ever encountered and has a military style mindset.

I have never come across a more unreasonable person in my life. He makes assumptions and expects students to know whats in his head. He is fair from being fair. The teaching style was extremely poor, mostly just reads off the slides. He makes mistakes in solutions and wouldn't admit and own up, ends up leading students astray

Professor Hermel cares about his students who put in the work. He enjoys when students ask for help/seek clarification about questions. This class has weekly quizzes, 2 group assignments, midterm, and final. The midterm was not easy but not super difficult (average). Textbook not required. Go to class, do practice and lecture problems to do well.

Nice guy, and tries to be interactive to make the classes fun. Midterm was on the easy side, but didn't prepare us well for the final at all.

He was a great prof. Always told us what chapters would be on midterm, and he went over it with us right before the midterm. but you were expected to read it before class which is completely normal. Helped me so much with problems I was struggling to get. Answered emails on weekends. he is very helpful and caring, just do the readings on time...

He taught my class an entire lecture on a new chapter 30 minutes before our midterm. The new chapter he taught was on the midterm. When the class average was in the 50's, he refused to bell curve and insisted we were all stupid. Worst prof I have had to date.

The content is boring, and he doesn't make it too exciting either BUT he constantly couples it with real life examples which make it easy to remember. He's intimidating and will pick on students (he won't if you email him), but isn't too bad. 2 Tests - one was EXACTLY like his sample test (he laughed). Didn't release group marks or final marks :(

Great prof. Has great energy and really involves students in a way that isn't awkward. His lectures are very detailed, and tests are easy enough. He does well in preparing students for what is coming. The only reason I am not giving him a 5/5 is that he did not release our final exam and project marks, which kinda sucked.

Great prof! Very friendly and wants students to succeed. Large group project and two take home midterms. No Final exam.
