She is awesome and I loved her class, my french improved a lot.
Will call on you without warning and be Very condescending, rude and publicly berates students. This course was optional and I wanted to learn French. Very confusing and difficult to follow, especially for a course for students without a French background
A very strange teaching style. She uses an overabundance of visual images in her tests, which makes them far from transparent. Her tests mostly measure your ability to guess and memorize pictures and geographical & meteorological maps rather than your actual level of French grammar and vocabulary. She may also evaluate right answers as “wrong”.
She is one of most helpful profs that I have had in TMU.I have had FRE 201 and CFRE 301 with her.Her lectures are clear and you will not get bored in the class cause she always wants you to participate, also she always makes sure that you understand everything by asking question of everyone.I will strongly recommend her
Nazanin is a nice person, but not an easy A, especially online. Class is boring, it squashed my excitement for learning French within the first class. For a beginner class I still find myself being confused. Expect to have to remember things within a few minutes - challenging if you're a visual learner. Nathaniel Drew on YouTube helped me more.
Every student has the potential to do extremely well in her class. The tests were fair and she provided us with ample resources to succeed in the course. In addition, she speaks very smoothly and slowly and her accent is non-existent. Highly recommend!
Great professor who is very competent in her teaching. She encourages participation in lectures which helps absorb the content. Can be a tough grader at times.
Professor Shahdi was very strict and made it uncomfortable to come to talk to her for help. If you're struggling with class content, she was not helpful in explaining anything. She was not accommodating to extenuating circumstances.
This professor is an extremely hard grader. If french isn't your strongest suit. I wouldn't recommend it, because it is a very advanced class with hard materials. A lot of assignments. The professor loves to pick on people randomly in class. Attendance is mandatory...
