Brad is an excellent instructor and applies his background, presenting practical examples of course content. He is always diligent, approachable and friendly to his students. This course is project heavy, but Brad is a fair and reasonable marker, wanting all students to succeed.
The lecture is very heavy, with many readings that may or may not be included in the exams. Group projects interact with other groups, so you must prepare for arbitration and negotiation with another team. Exams have a couple of mc and a lot of short answers. He is a genuinely caring person who makes the class laugh.Lectures are long and go to end
This was my second class with Prof James and as always it was great. He makes the lecture engaging, if you come to class he teaches exactly what you will be tested on which makes the studying process just seem like review. Def not a easy course but it is worth taking with Prof James.
Professor James provided thoughtful feedback throughout the semester. His lectures were engaging, and he added humour to them. I think he was born to be a lecturer/professor. I was just grateful to attend his classes.
If the doctor told me i had a semester to live, i would take one of brads courses cause he reminds me of my dad and hes such a nice person. :)
Best teacher I had at Toronto Metropolitan University is funny, and understanding, it is worth going to his class because you learn a lot
Brad is a great prof and he makes the material easy to understand during his lectures. There were 2 group projects, a bargaining simulation and an arbitration exercise, both of which aren't weighted too heavily as they are meant to be a fun learning experience. His exams are fairly easy as long as you do the readings.
DO THE READINGS. Brad is a great prof. There is a lot of reading for his class, but he warns you about this up front. Do the readings, go to class. This is a university course and requires you think and make your own connections, which some of my classmates didn't seem to understand. Brad made boring material feel engaging. 10/10
Really good prof, definitely take his class
Con: Boring class. Heavy reading, outdated content, tests were so random. Save yourself! This prof needs to consider picking a textbook and focusing on chapters and cases because the content he has made up is brutal. Pro: He's nice and personable Advice to Ryerson: A lot of older profs have outdated teaching styles and content
