Engaging prof for a course often seen as dry. Concepts explained clearly and memorably. He is approachable and accommodating. Drawback was course admin. Midterm had unaligned content, and final was cancelled due to a printing error. TAs were stricter than expected. Good prof, but course structure and admin could be better.

Take Peter Fisher instead if possible. I finished with around an A in the course, but the course was extremely disorganized. The midterm had incorrect post-midterm questions, the final exam was cancelled after the midterm was handed out by mistake, and TAs marked assignments slowly with little feedback. Very disappointing and a complete nightmare.

Made mistakes creating the midterm exam (it had around 8 questions from post midterm content). Printed out the wrong final exam, and the alternative options were very weak. Told me there was "no guarantee of my grade improving," as I asked him to give us better alternative options, my grade was fairly decent. Trust me, Choose another prof :)

Great prof, really enjoyed learning the course content!

Honestly, one of the best professors I have had so far. The course itself is super easy and basically all common sense. Michael is super chill and his lectures are actually interesting. The midterm was not complicated at all. On top of that he has a YouTube channel where he posts all the old exams on and he goes through them.

He is a really nice and good professor. I enjoyed the lectures and taking his course, which doesn't happen often. The course content itself was easy

His TAs are rough graders, there's a 10 pg group project so pick your group well. he's not a bad prof, MHR content is mostly common sense. He did mess up the mid term by adding final exam questions on it and he messed up the final by giving us the midterm again instead. overall tho he's a chill guy

He's cool, his dog is racist, he has lots of examples that his students would know, involves the class, easy to understand, chill, and answers questions. Choose the right people for your group, not marked individually. Posts the slides, has a YT channel which is super helpful for midterms, finals, extra questions, peer reviewed sources.
