Cindy Rendely

When you meet her for the first time, she makes up her mind about you on the spot. One mistake, one design she dislikes, she will basically degrade you and make you feel like your existence in interior design is better off without you. I think she's a good motivator, but she goes too far AND this is one of the multiple complaints I have on her!

She's ok. I'm the student who will do more work if the teacher is passionate and tells me to get things done. Cindy doesn't care, which can be a good thing, but I didn't like it. She can speak without emotion when he gives feedback, so I can realize my shortcomings without feeling so personal and focus on the work.

The best prof I had in my first year. She is knowledgeable and gives helpful feedback. She lets you "break the rules" of the assignment which I found very helpful in these early stages of self discovery as designers. She is funny, caring, and takes the time to know each student personally. She can be strict when she needs to be, which I respect.

Challenging, hard to get over 85. She's kind of intense and intimidating but was very clear and repeated the instructions until it was understood. If you ask her for more feedback she will give it to you. She's also particular about the presentation of submissions. Heard she was good for IRN though so I would still take her classes in the future.

Cindy is one of the best professors I've ever had. Even though she's a tough grader, It's so so hard to get more than 85%. But she's so knowledgeable and inspirational. She gives really good feedack and encourages you to improve your work. She's also caring and has helped me so much with stuff outside the class

she's a professional, and therefore I value her opinion. She yells but who cares? she's not malicious at all, her opinion has value. The projects are interesting, one comment would be it seems to be hard to get above an 85

yells 24/7, always feels like an intense motivational speaker is shouting at you. Especially through Zoom, the yelling always turns into harsh crit and her voice is not pleasant for a long period of time. Sometimes I even mute her voice to just take a small break. She does change up the outline and use her own design as a reference. GL!

Cindy always respects your design, she never pushes you to agree with her ideas. But she can explore your ideas perfectly. She always makes everything clear, and tells you what you exactly need to do. She is the best, and helps me a lot.

Really great professor. Tends to allow experimentation outside of the course outline and changes up project outlines to the benefit of her students. She has high expectations but she's very helpful in getting you there.

Cindy loves to talk and gives helpful feedback to guide students. She cares about her students and for their well-being. I find she can be a bit biased. She would also tell everyone that she loves your project, but her grade she gives back don't match up.
