Assignments are easy thanks to having the internet at your disposal. The assignments make up 30% of your grade and you can easily get 90%+ on them The midterm and final exam are unnecessarily hard as you are expected to memorize Linux commands, directories, and various other things. Overall, course is passable but hard to finish with a high grade.

Reads of the book

Before taking this course, I read through the ratings on here, and was reluctant to take it, but still did because I wanted to learn more about Linux. No regrets. He is a fair marker, provides the necessary feedback and is always available for extra help, just email him.

If you want to fail a course, this is your go-to professor. Exams are extremely hard for no reason but continues to email you to tell you that he wants you to succeed. All exam questions are created to confuse the student. The weekly labs are inconsistent with information and unclear most of the time. I wish I never took this prof.

Honestly, I don't know what going on with this ITM prof. He says that he wants you to succeed but marks the labs that are worth a few percent with no mercy. It seems that he does not want his students to succeed, this course is not even a requirement so why be so harsh on labs as well as exams. If you looking for a BAD grade look no further. AVOID!

Just set your tuition money on fire. If you don't have to take this course then save your money instead. Pointless lectures by a prof wgo obviously doesn't know the material. Doesn't matter what question you ask, he tells you to google it. Unhelpful, unfriendly, useless. If you want a class that sucks, look no further than ITM 315. Yes, I passed. B

Took this class with him last semester, he was extremely unhelpful. He will actually go beyond necessary to give out bad marks (i think he enjoys it). If you are a student that wants to do well, he will make it unnecessarily difficult. because of him my GPA dropped and i was in much harder courses. Wish i had not taken him as a prof.

laziest and uncaring prof in RU. Makes the course harder than it is. He is the type of prof that tells you google everything. Assignment are old, and questions poorly written that even google doesn't understand. Midterm and final was hard and lengthy with no time allocated. He needs to quit so students can actually learn info from another prof.

Very bad professor and unclear teaching method. Assignments are confusing and instructions are extremely poorly written. When requested for help he just says to ask students On DB or google it rendering him useless. Marks the Discussions very picky and gives low mark even when the answer is correct. He gives bad marks with no feedback. DO NOT TAKE!

Withdrew from the course. Absolutely no teaching he just reads slides. Zero benefit over doing this online. If you don't need this course don't take it. He can't teach.
