Mixed opinions. Class itself always ran for the full 3 hours, and I thought the content was so annoying. Prof herself is an educated and strong woman, but the comment that said she is cold is correct; something about her feels tense, and I did not want to talk to her. Participation was heavy, and she tried to be fun but it felt off. Overall 6/10
Genuinely one of the best profs I've had at TMU. Very kind and accommodating.
Miranda is such a sweet & inclusive person. She genuinely cares about her students and their well-being and makes sure that the relationships between her and her students are based on mutual respect. This class was mandatory, and so was participation/attendance, but I recommend going to her classes, as learning from someone like her is refreshing.
Miranda is such a great professor; she really cares about her students and is so so understanding. I loved attending her classes. Her assignments were real world and were super effective.
She seems warm and caring, but her approach is cold when you see her after class. So, mixed messages. I wouldn't take another class with her. She's not the worst, but I was tense in her class, and I think it may be because of this vibe she projects of being warm and fuzzy while being mechanically efficient and almost bureaucratic.
her and her TA mark strictly for a course that is not important whatsoever. they actually don't understand their own marking guidelines / assignment instructions and harshly grade. readings r so pointless but its necessary for every. single. assignment. id avoid if it wasn't mandatory tbh. course in general is structured badly
I was a bit worried for this class as I had no idea what to expect; thankfully, those nerves went away after the first couple of weeks, as Miranda is a wonderful prof! She definitely makes class feel like an inclusive environment! Assignments are straight-forward and quizzes are easy - she's also willing to make workload accommodations. Fantastic!
dr. campbell is an enthusiastic, knowledgable, and socially conscious prof. the best prof i've had during my time at ryerson!! so so lucky to have learned from her.
Miranda is wonderfully engaged with local arts scenes, grassroots organizations, and interesting projects and events. She provides an equitable, socially conscious, caring class environment making it enjoyable for everyone to participate in class discussions. Clearly knowledgeable, her investment in students success is obvious. Overall, fantastic!
