I expected more based on the reviews. Since the course is intensive and online, it was already challenging, but the grading made it more frustrating. Feedback on major reflective essays was very brief (only 1–2 sentences) and felt generic, making it seem like my work wasn't thoroughly reviewed.
Great prof. Clear instructions and fair grading, not hard to get an A+.
Realized halfway through the course that Amy doesn't know much about conflict resolution. Through a background check I found her degree is in a different field and has little or no practice in the profession. Her classes were dull & uniformed, and Amy was quite rude. I urge you to take this course with Melissa, as my friends told me she is amazing.
I'm genuinely confused by her high rating. She's quite rude, not very understanding, and somehow gave a bunch of us lower grades due to improper APA format. I've never been given that critique by any other prof, besides my first year. Also, claimed our group work to be "written by AI." It was not. That's a serious accusation to be throwing around.
Amazing prof. Provides Great feedback and support throughout the semester, and marks everything extremely fair!! Would 100% recommend.
Took her class a while ago. Probably one of the rudest people I have ever met. Feedback always had words spelled wrong - not sure how she became a prof or made it through academia. I suspect that the good reviews were all written by her. Seems eternally confused if I'm being honest. Would rather repeat a year than take a class with her again.
Wow, what a fantastic prof! You can tell she genuinely loves her job and cares for her students. This was one of the best electives I've taken so far, and I'm in my 4th year! She somehow made an online class exciting to take, I really recommend this professor to anyone.
I absolutely love her! She is by far the kindest and most accommodating professor I've ever met. Her spirit is amazing, and I wish all professors were like her :)
I loved this professor! They're easy going, understanding, and genuinely care about students and their effort of participation. While group work is expected, it's not hard, and they're open to extensions. I would take this course 1000 times again. I loved every moment!
I'm very pleased to that Dr.Clements-Cortes really made me love the content and the class. If I could, I would defiantly take more classes with her. As many mentioned she is very engaged in the class despite it being an online class, fair maker, easily approachable, and she recognized accommodation needs without me even asking. That was Amazing!
