Gave us the wrong mid term. he never wrote the exam and never even bothered to read it. There was a lot of information on the exam that we never covered in our course, and he had no idea. That was the mid term and he still refused to even read the exam before the final..... Terrible!!
Really nice and caring guy but he's getting older so he gets lost when he's teaching sometimes, or he won't remember what you asked.
It was truly a pleasure to have professor Tim Pervin as my instructor. Participation matters, be sure to participate. The final exam wasn't hard, just keep up with the weekly readings and you will do great. Course assignments were reasonable as well. Ask questions on what is unclear, he will help you and guide you to do well :)
The course itself is challenging but Tim had a clear criteria which made it easy to do well.
Tim Pervin is a gem compared to the other BUS800 professors. I heard horror stories from the other BUS800 classes. If you show up to class, and participate, then he'll like you and be extremely helpful with the projects. A lot of complaints from people are the amount of work and the MC final exam, which are out of the profs' control anyway.
Great professor. The course itself wasn't bad, just a lot of group projects and cases but if you apply lecture + textbook concepts towards your assignments then you're guaranteed a good mark. Exam wasn't bad either.
Professor Pervin is a good overall professor, and for BUS800 he isn't too strict on the rubric in comparison to some of the other professors. A lot of group work and class participation, a lot of the material is bland and the marking scheme for the overall course is very weird.
