He is an ok prof. Quizzes are easy but some questions are a bit weird. 2 assignments and a group assignment. A pretty chill class
This is relatively a very easy course. Even though we got not much feedback from him, it was still alright. This course uses alot of participation to mark you and hence need to pay attention to the sometimes lengthy homeworks to do your work. Overall it was great.
If you're deciding between this prof & the other 2 teaching this course, TAKE THIS CLASS WITH GLEN! Sure, his marking is kinda annoying, but do assignments exactly how he wants & you'll be fine. You NEVER have homework, most assignments are simple & done in class (& are super easy). Take this class with Glen, show up, & get it over with, trust me.
Dr. Norton is harsh. He doesn't mark fairly, shows no interest in educating, and uses an awful rubric or doesn't give you one. When you try to fight with him about a mark you don't think is fair, he simply tells you that you're wrong. If he doesn't like your oral presentation he rolls his eyes and swears middle of your presentation.
Grades work pretty tough with no feedback. But overall, still a very easy course.
he is not too difficult and this is the online course so everything just be very easy
The course is easy, but his feedback on summative assessments worth 15% each is vague. I would recommend a different professor.
I had him as a TA for CMN288 and he was really good. He marked the groups nicely and he gave clear instructions as well as clear feedback. I had an awesome experience in this course.
For a communications prof, he should really work on communication. Expectations were not very clear. The course was modules, some written assignments, oral presentation plus a term test. Modules were pretty easy. Limited feedback. It was okay. Class was asynchronous.
Professor Norton is a very nice person, just not a very good professor. His instructions for the course were vague and unclear and grades extremely tough despite this. Responds to emails relatively slow. Overall, I felt like he made the CMN harder than it should have been due to his unclear instructions and lack of feedback on projects.
