GOAT professor!

Sean is a great professor and as long as you show up to class, you will do amazing.

Great professor, he actually cares about his students and wants them to do well. Attend his classes and your set for a great mark!

Hertel is an amazing prof. He is very welcome, kind and open to answering any questions, I would not be nervous about taking this class if you don't come from a planning background. Easy marker, the assignments are interesting, and the final exam is not hard - he gives you the exam questions throughout the semester. Make sure to go to class.

God bless Sean Hertel. He's really nice and he gives a lot of tips for tests (especially for the midterm report) during lectures, he points out many potential final exam topics/questions + textbook chapters to focus on. Just show up to every lecture, it's actually worth it. I thought his marking was fine, be detailed & think about ALL policies.

Sean has been an amazing prof for this class. Even though I know nothing about urban planning, he makes the class very welcoming and tries to help us understand the basic concepts. He gives out hints in lectures for quizzes, and be sure to attend lectures to know the material as the slides do not have a lot of words on them. Very fun and caring!

He is a very inspiring professor and gives real life examples from his experience as an urban planner. The grading criteria for the paper is a bit vague so you won't be sure when something you write will recieve a good grade

One of my favourite professors, just wish they offered more planning courses outside the planning degree.

Great person, it was clear that he actually cared about the students and tried his best to make sure that everybody passed. However, it was a bit difficult to focus for me because his teaching style would just be talking for the entire lecture (I would rather have slides). Nevertheless, I did fine and I would for sure take it again

Very caring professor and definitely passionate for what he teaches! Explains lectures clearly and is easy to follow along. Quizzes and a few assignments but they were straightforward. Responds to questions which is very helpful.
