The course itself was a bit harder than I expected. very heavy on music theory. professor is not generous when marking..

Unless you genuinely care about music and film, literally, do not take this course. You need to actually listen to music and identify stuff for quizzes and whatnot.

Good prof but can be hard course if you can't identify the music notes using your ears.

This was supposed to be a bird course, the essay was graded so unfairly it ruined everything

Truly an amazing professor. Shows a lot of personality through d2l announcements and online lecture recordings. Assignments are also enjoyable! Easy to get a high mark in this class. She even dropped an assignment to allow students to feel less stress and learn the course better. Such a kind and fun professor :')

The prof was great, but the content was not "easy". The first few assignments were tricky and boring, but the essay was interesting. The quizzes were not too bad, but still challenging. I would not recommend this course if you just wanna ace it without doing any work. Take GEO106 instead, super light!!

TAKE CRTA180 WITH HER. Async classes?? 3 small assignments and 3 quizzes?? No exam?? Sign yourself up right now. She's also super funny in her lecture notes and marks very fairly. Easy 100

Dr.Wheeler is an amazing professor. I went into this course with 0 knowledge of music but her teaching style made it so easy to understand the concepts. 3 online Quizzes, 2 assignments and 1 essay. She posts a lot of examples for everything so it's very easy to obtain 100% marks for each of them.

so unfair, she is very difficult and super unfair. never helps and answers the emails.

She was a really good prof, took her over the summer while working 35 hours a week and was able to achieve an A-. She made content accessible and straight forward. Overall I would highly recommend this prof and course
