Pick your group for project wisely, don't skip class, go to tutorials and office hours. The final was 60% and almost tanked everyones mark regardless of your project and midterm grades. Be careful and stay on top of the lecture content. Hes kind and smart and will help if you ask.
Going from Intro to Flight into Aerodynamics is hard. The concepts were difficult to pick up because Dr. Bramesfeld speaks with such passion about topics such as flow analysis he forgets students are still noobs at this. Going to office hours fixes this. This course work is all about qualitative analysis. exams are MC, assignments are the hardest
He's nice, but I absolutely despise the way he teaches. This is the 3rd time I have had to be in his class throughout my 4 years, and I always do especially badly every time. His slides and teaching lack the details that matter, stuff that actually makes students understand the material. If I had a choice, I would've never chosen to be in his class
Yes I do think his classes are a bit difficult from his teaching style, but the fact that he does examples and tries to help students is a very important thing that some people overlook.
He is a mess. His notes, his thoughts, they're literally everywhere. Nice guy and is trying his best online. Constantly have to compare his notes to the textbook to find errors. And he constantly makes errors. I wish he would take more time to organize his thoughts and prepare more before lectures. Its a upper year course, he shouldnt be so lost.
Dr Bramesfeld is one of the most interesting professors in Ryerson. Speak to him about any project (specifically RAALF) and witness him explain with the greatest passion. Yes he sometimes goes off track during lectures, but we all need some time during to catch-up, so I've always appreciated his tangents. Gives me time to collect my thoughts.
Terrible prof. He always looks so confused and gets lost in thought all the time. It sucks that he is often the only choice for aerospace courses. I would recommend to avoid at all costs.
The midterm and final exams for this course were close to disaster.
Teaches you concepts in a way that can be applied in real scenarios to make quick estimations which is better for understanding than reading the boring textbook. Sometimes its difficult to sit down with him and have a chat because he is busy and in a rush but he is one of the few profs whose office you'll leave after understanding the concept.
