He is the second best Prof I had in TRSM. Very nice and knowledge. His teaching style made the Derivatives course quite fun.
He is really kind and caring about his students but he is very bad at responding to emails. I emailed him in order to look over my test numerous times and no reply was given. Moreover he doesnt have an office on campus so it's hard to reach him. Go to the lectures as the class is super difficult!!! and the material is hard to understand.
Hamid is a great prof, and he obviously cares about his students. His lectures are fun and interesting. However, I can't give him 5/5 cause 1) he never resonds to his emails and 2) does not practices sample problems in class.
Hamid is very knowledgable. I wish the class was set up with booklets of problems instead of powerpoints though, it would've given him the chance to give us more detailed explanations. You need both the text and solution manual. He puts a lot of effort into preparing us for the project/tests/exam though. He cares a lot and is very nice.
AFF410 is the hardest course I've had so far. His teaching style makes it fun and interesting. In addition to problem-solving classes, the online materials he provides are comprehensive and helpful for exam preparation. His AFF410 class had a long waiting list and even other students from other sections attend his lectures.
Hamid proved to be smart and knowledgeable about financial math. He took the time to properly explain finance concepts over email and corrected me where I made errors. I had no choice but to come to him because my own section professor doesn't answer my questions properly and brushes my concerns off with a "yes you're correct." even when I'm not.
Definitely one of the best profs I've had. He encourages students by asking a lot of questions. He has a bit of an accent, but not bad at all. He also posts video tutorials online which are great to review for the exam.
Near midterm and final exam he provides a lot of help and extra examples. He is very caring and gives good advice on how to get a job after graduation. highly recommended.
one of the best profs I have come across in ryerson. very smart. gives lots of examples in class and is passionate about what he does. the exams are fair. extremely knowledgeable and cares A LOT about his students. talks about real life problems in banking and finance and gives good examples. great prof.
This prof is interesting. His teaching methods are reading powerpoint but he does do some examples and is pretty interesting to talk to, he has a slight accent but that doesn't really diminish his teaching methods. I would actually fault him a little on his marking, he gives mark too generously, easy trader and also gives bonus marks,
