Very knowledgeable and experienced guy. A little old-school (which I enjoyed) and high-school-teacher-esque (which I didn't enjoy quite as much). He conveyed the material in an easy-to-understand way and gave great personal and political commentary (which not everyone likes, but w/e). His impression of the Chinese guy with the two tapes is amazing.
If you want to take ECN210 do not take it with him!
Good Professor overall. Old school way of teaching which I like. Discusses his experiences, scenarios and historic events to explain economic theories which I really liked. Attend class and know the material in the textbook and you are good to go..
extremely boring....hard to concentrate and pay attention. But work hard, read textbook and you'll do fine. His exams were easy.
Worst professor i've had at Ryerson throughout the 37 credits i've earned thus far. Midterm and final exam is extremely difficult, half is multiple choice and the other half is short answer. He doesn't care weather you succeed or fail. Poor teaching methods. Do yourself a favor and AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!
Knowledgeable prof, but rambles on and on. By the 2nd hour you will be asleep. MUST read the book. Supplementary work - online quizzes, attendance - is mandatory for bonus marks....mid term was brutal. Provides too much personal political commentary at times. Can be condescending at times.
This man just rambles on and on and on, and he loses you really fast. He goes through the material VERY fast, you might as well just show up for kicks. READ your book or you will fail (unless you understand what he`s rambling on about. Honestly, I have no idea what he`s saying, however I do know what his resume looks like...
This is entirely a history class (not economics). Only take it if you're interested in the subject as the class is very boring. He reads from the book the entire class, which you can do on your own... Easy to get a good mark. In exams you can choose 3 our of 5 questions to respond to, and it's open book (but you will have to read it).
He wants his students to get good marks, which is reflected in his marking: very fair and understanding marker! Though he goes through materials EXTREMELY fast, gotta read txtbook and learn on your own. Show up in class and do your assigned homework! Very important!! Good prof overall!
How exciting can a professor REALLY make economics? I think Cape does a pretty good job considering the dryness of the course itself. Straight forward - very knowledgeable.
