James Everard

James is an awesome prof. He is like an eccentric uncle and he gets distracted pretty easily with any topic you want to throw at him, but he really cares about you getting a good mark. Classes are very relaxed and not mandatory, but he gives a lot of hints away about exam questions and his hilarious personality is worth going on its own!

James/Jim Everard is one the best professors at Ryerson. He teaches his courses in a current world view manner instead of relying on dated textbooks. He is extremely flexible (sometimes too much!). Lectures are not mandatory, however, his charm and topics will make you want to attend class. He also has a GREAT sense of humour.

His reviews in the class before the exam relieved a lot of my stress. He wants his students to do well. I did well because hes a good prof. Wish he taught more classes.

If you don't understand a concept he will take the time to discuss it during or after class. He tries to make sure that everyone is clear on what they need to do for the exams and the project. Lectures often turned into interesting group discussions. I wish more classes were like his. He's easily one of the best profs Ive had at Rye.

So glad I took 724 with Professor Everard - explains everything really well and makes sure you have the information you need to do well in this course. He was also incredibly helpful when I went to him with questions about the report. Excellent teacher.

Jim is the BEST. Will go out of his way to help a student do well. Available for extra support if needed. Make sure you go to lectures, and you're set! Great guy.

Great class, great prof. Wish there were more like him.

The exams are good. He even gave us a review of the chapters before the exams to make sure everyone understood the material. If you want, he even gives you the option to hand in a rough draft of the project to get feedback. If you don't get an A, you're crazy.

Everard's class is plain and simple, show up, do the exams and hand in the project. He wants everyone to do well.
