Kirsten Schaefer

She had very informative lectures that were easy to understand and follow along plus she was very nice. Kirsten also provided the notes to her lessons for students. The grades were based on 4 assignments with each one being split into a test and writing component. All the answers were provided by her so getting a good grade was easy.

Textiles isn't an easy class but she tries to make it informative! I would say she's an amazing prof, lots of info. You don't want to skip class, but you could read the textbook. Honestly, the pro is good, the course can be difficult for some people. A lot of memorizing!

Not gonna lie textiles isn't an easy course but Kirsten really tries her best to make it fun and interactive. She's always available to feedback and support and you can tell she cares about her students. I will warn you most of the assignments are graded by TA's and they usually grade super hard. Midterm and final have a test and a lab.

One of the best drafting instructors in the faculty. She is very kind while remaining impartial when marking, but more importantly, is able to explain pattern drafting concepts in such a way that I can visualize what she says and retain the information. I would recommend her to people who are new to pattern drafting bc she makes sure you get it.

Had her for textiles and fashion design 1. she's fast, but explained everything clearly. good for helping you when you need it. Textiles was hard, but no surprises, what was said in the lab was on the midterm and exam. Makes lame but funny jokes. Overall, would recommend.

This rating isn't as much about Kirsten as it is the FSN101 Textiles course. It's the hardest course I've ever done and I didn't find Kirsten to explain it all that well. Things were rushed and I felt inadequate asking for help. She was nice enough but I don't think she puts enough emphasis on wanting to help you/explain things better.

She seems nice at first but goes over things fast so ya better keep up!! Honestly not an easy class but she seems enthusiastic about it which helps a little
