We used Williamson Macroeconomics book (same book for 301). The quizzes were easy since they were based on the weekly readings. Assignments were fair (one applied and the other theory-based). No practice questions to prepare for the final exam. She really made this course applicable to the current Canadian economy.
She means well, I like her as a person but she's not a good lecturer. She's not that good at explaining concepts and relies heavily on the work of the TA which makes the material much harder than it needs to be and takes all enjoyment out of the course.
Your hand will break during her lectures. makes you write for the whole 3 hrs and doesn't provide class notes before class only lecture slides she doesn't respond to emails because of her other class and actively tells students not to email her and that she won't be available outside of class. Also is very vague on marking and participation marks
She was honestly the most amazing econ prof. She thoroughly explained all of her slides in a way you would understand, and always made sure you were on the same page. Macro is a heavy course in general so you can't expect to do well if you don't put in the work. She also gives many chances to boost your grade, which really helped out
In my opinion, she in an amazing prof. Her lectures and power points are very detailed, and easy to understand. She does in-class quizzes, which are a very easy mark boost. She likes to get feedback from students about what they want from the course, and will alter her teaching style to meet those needs. Whats best is I actually learned something!
Professor Jamasi is a wonderful prof! She explains slides in perfect detail and cares about her students success. There is an in-class quiz every class but it is very easy and she usually gives you the answers for them so it's free marks. Overall Jamasi is an amazing prof and she truly cares about her students success!
She makes you work for your grade. It is very hard to get an A in her class unless you are some sort of smart guy. Overall, she's not bad. Don't expect easy marks though.
She is not as hard as i thought she will be. You just have to read the textbook and notes/ slides. she bell curves a lot. Her test are not that hard if you read and follow her outlines. Go to the tutorial, they help a lot.
No doubt the professor is knowledgeable, however, her teaching skills are lacking. You must attend lectures in order to receive quiz grades, and also, must purchase the online resource. Class average for the MT was 58 (which she curved up to 65). With that said, if you want a good grade - just go with a different professor.
Zohra is a good professor and definitely knows what she's talking about but its her unrealistic expectations that makes her unattractive to students.
