Took Professor Yao for the capstone course in my degree. He is a very great person and is easily the most fair professor i've ever had. He essentially just reads from slides, but the content is boring so I don't blame him. If you want a professor who cares about your education even more than you do, take him, you wont regret it.
Midterm and Exam are m/c & short answers, you must read the textbook. His slides are useless. The presentations and project require reading and preparation, but not too hard. His lectures are very dry and you need an Iclicker to participate. Grading criteria is very confusing! He is very kind, and expects students to participate. Read the book!
this is a beyond dull course. but the prof is bae
Just work hard and go through his slides. If you make the effort to understand everything on his slides; easy A. You only need the textbook for some hard to understand concepts, and the individual case study due some time after reading week. I highly recommend him because he (his slides) makes concepts easy to understand.
Angus is an amazing prof who tries his best to teach. Despite his chinese accent, he is able to clearly and accurately articulate the concepts of HR within his masterfully made power points. In addition his mid terms, and tests weren't very hard either. Overall, I would recommend taking this magnificent prof if you have the opportunity to do so.
Lectures were pretty boring and not many people attended. The breakout sessions take attendance. You'll do fine if you just read the textbook
At first I thought this class was going to be a handful but Angus is a very fair prof. Granted, he's not an engaging prof but it's OT & design - it's boring. Only downside is the group component: two presentations, a group paper and weekly mini group case analysis. Overall, a fair course and study strictly by the book!
Yao has a very strong chinese accent which makes it extremely hard to understand what he is talking about. He also reads off the powerpoint and sometimes doesn't even know how to pronounce a word, making it seem like he just copied and pasted the definition from textbook. Try to pick a different prof for 405... i hear there r other ones that r good
